About Us

The Winne-Bellinger-Coyne Farm

The Winne-Bellinger-Coyne farm has been in the same family since 1804.

In 1804, James Winne purchased land near Fultonville, NY to begin a family farm operation. The farm thrived and the Winne family became an important part of the cultural, economic and social history of the Town of Glen. The farm has been passed through many generations of the family, and today, Kenneth and Linda Coyne are its owners and operators.

The farm still consists of the original acres. The excess land is leased out to keep the entire farm in active production. Hay, corn, and small grains are grown on the land not devoted to the orchard.

The apple orchard originated in 1930 by Furman and Mildred Bellinger, parents of Harold, Kenneth, Beverly, and Thomas. Thomas and his wife Betty bought the farm from his parents in 1963, and at that time decided to plant more trees and start a pick-your-own operation, which was one of the first of its kind in the area.

Since 1998, the family, including Ken, Linda, Ian, and Joshua Coyne, has been continuously planting many of the newer varieties of apples along with other fruit. Today, there are over 60 varieties of apples, peaches, nectarines, pears, plums, blueberries and cherries grown on the farm. An expanded and updated farm store and bakery has been built where produce, homemade cider donuts, fresh sweet cider, honey, maple syrup, cheese, and other local NYS products are sold.  For entertainment, a challenging five-acre themed corn maze, children’s hay maze, large pumpkin patch, and a picnic area with incredible views of the countryside have been added.

Today, the family is dedicated to preserving the orchard’s legacy while creating new, exciting farm experiences for all ages. Whether you are picking apples, enjoying our fall family fun activities, or shopping at our farm store, we offer an authentic and memorable visit for the entire family.

"My father used to pick apples for Bellinger's back in the late-30's and mid-40's. We have been going to Bellinger's as a family tradition for over 55 years and then some. LOVE that it has stayed in the family. From our family to yours, Bellinger's, Thank you!!"
